Born: 10.02.1933 in Bucharest

Graduate of the “ I.L. Caragiale” Institute for Film and Theatre (class of Aura Buzescu and Beate Fredanov, 1956). After graduation he is assigned to the State Theatre in Craiova. In 1957 he returns to Bucharest and is hired at the “L.S. Bulandra” Theatre (the then Public Theatre). “With each one of Rebengiuc’s new part there is a tight rope tenseness ready to break. Seldom has the Romanian film encounter such a harshly intellectual actor, biting even if not handled with care, a man burnt inside out by his trade - his passion for film. With the film being a deep diving in the soul’s depths most of us need an oxygen masque. Rebengiuc feels at home without it!” (Aurel Bădescu, Magazin special Cinema 1978).
