Born: 28.04.1957 in Iaşi (Iaşi)
Died: 17.01.2023 in Iasi

Graduate of the Institute of Theatre and Film "I.L.Caragiale" (class of 1985, prof. Dem Rădulescu). He made his stage debut at the "V.I. Popa" Theatre in Bârlad. In 1989 he started working at the "Vasile Alecsandri" Theatre in Iași. The short Călătorie la oraş / A Trip to the City and the feature A fost sau n-a fost?/ 12:08 East of Bucharest, both directed by Corneliu Porumboiu, mark his film debut and his part in Porumboiu’s feature gained him an Outstanding Artistic Contribution Award (won ex aequo) at the Cannes Film Festival.
