The International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, One World Romania is an important platform for presenting the films, for debates and for promoting the projects that are in the work-in-progress stage. The event is organized by the One World Romania Association and Rule of Law Program South Est Europe of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
Besides the competition, the program created by Alexandru Solomon, the festival director includes a special section Sahia Vintage, for which Adina Brădeanu, makes the selection, a Work in progress section, coordinated by Mona Nicoară and some special screenings for students.
Actually the Grand Prize of the festival was awarde by a high school students jury. This year they choseNormal Autistic Film, directed by Miroslav Janek.
Starting with 2016 another section was included, Civil Society Pitch, which facilitates the meeting of the filmmakers with the NGOs that deal with the rights of the citizens. The Romanian documentaries had special screening in the Romanian on the Move section and also in the one called Romania: Work-in-progress.
