Films on DVD: The thriller ”Orizont”, directed by Marian Crișan

   In the friendly atmosphere of the Humanitas Cișmigiu bookstore, the director Marian Crișan and the actors Rodica Lazăr and Emilian Oprea attended the release of the feature film Orizont on DVD. Valerian Sava spoke about what brings together and what sets apart Orizont and The Mill of Good Luck (La Moara cu noroc), directed by Victor Iliu. Both of them are two film adaptations of the short story written by IoanSlavici, named “The Mill of Good Luck”. The two feature films were introduced opposite each other at the event organized at the Romanian Peasant Museum Cinema at the beginning of the year.  
The producer Mihai Dorobanțu was a part of this project and also of Bobby Păunescu`s Pionieers Palace which are both out on the DVD. Irina Margareta Nistor spoke about the screening of Păunescu`s film in Sundance.  
  Besides the film, the DVD with Orizont also contains the entire soundtrack of the film, composed by Cristian Lolea especially for the film, which is a less common thing for the productions of late. Marian Crișan told us about the subtle connection that was created between film and music.
