On Saturday, 7 March, at George Ciprian Theatre Hall in Buzău, the award gala of the
BUZZ CEE International Film Festival CEE (4-8 May) took place, a Festival dedicated to Central and Eastern Europe cinema.
Sin & Illy Still Alive (Germany, 2014), the debut full-length feature of director Maria Hengge, was granted the Long BUZZ Trophy, consisting in
post-production services amounting to EUR 7,000, sponsored by Cinelab România.
The Real BUZZ Trophy for Best Documentary went to
Roboțelul de aur (Golden Robot), made by Mihai Dragolea and Radu Mocanu, while the short
Dispozitiv 0068 (Dispositive 0068), directed by Radu Bărbulescu, was granted the Short BUZZ Trophy. Both features received also post-production services valued at EUR 2,000 from Cinelab România.
Zăpada/
Snow (Bulgaria, 2015), directed by Ventsislav Vasilesv, was chosen by the audience as the winner of the Pop BUZZ Trophy. Furthermore, the feature got a Special Mention of the
full-length competition jury.
