After repeated salary cuts, around 10,000 people from Brașov went out in the streets and shouted for the first time “down Ceaușescu”. Hundreds of people were arrested and beatetn, women and children and 61 of the workers were deported to far off towns.
Brașov 1987. Two Years Too Soon was awarded at the 2018 Bucharest Docuart Fest Romanian Documentary Film Festival in the section dedicated to the TV productions. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the director Liviu Tofan.
The access to the event is free.
