A young boxer and a rebel high-school girl are the heros of the two Romanian premieres at HBO. Rafael Florea, graduate of the Acting School run by Florin Șerban, and Ana Maria Guran, UNATC student and winner of the „Young Hope” Gopo Award, are doing very well as the two leading characters.
Box, the film directed by
Florin Șerban, (10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 26, 27 April), is the story of a muscled young man, in love with a mature and very feminine actress (Hilda Péter), and who applies boxing tactics to lovemaking – taking the pulse of things, patience, strike. When you are young and full of energy, „the world is yours”, as stated by the heroine in the feature directed by
Nicolae Constantin Tănase.
Lumea e a mea (The World Is Mine) (24, 27, 30 April) – the story of a teenager who throws herself into life with much

gusto. „I'll be ok, no matter what”, she says raising a defying finger.
Apart from the above-mentioned premieres, HBO is re-scheduling Romanian films with good audience rates during the previous months:
Comoara (The Treasure), a film written and directed by Corneliu Porumboiu,
Acasă la tata (Back Home), the full-length feature directing debut of Andrei Cohn, the thriller
Un etaj mai jos (One Floor Below), directed by Radu Mutean,
Autoportretul unei fete cuminți (Self-Portrait of a Dutiful Daughter), the full-length feature directing debut of Ana Lungu, and the political thriller
De ce eu? (Why Me?), directed by Tudor Giurgiu.
