, were presented at the DocAviv International Documentary Film festival in Israel and one of
the most important festivals in the world. The festival took place from September 3 to 12, 2020. The film colectiv was announced as the big winner of the DocAviv International Documentary Film Festival.
The Romanian director Radu Ciorniciuc discussed with the film critic Shmulik Duvdevani, during a webinar-type meeting, streamed live and accessible to the viewers only based on a previous registration. The dialogue with Radu Ciorniciuc took place on September 5, at 17:00 and the one with Alexander Nanau will take place on September 12, at 20:00. Shmulik Duvdevani teaches courses on the documentary film at the Tel Aviv University and he writes film reviews on the Ynet platform.
Dan Romașcanu, a film critic, wrote on his personal blog: “I am not surprised by the international echo of the film, because the problems of the medical system, including the lack of equipment and ability, but also the themes connected to corruption and political interests are hot topics in many countries, not only in Romania. I also mean the crises generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting with the realities from Romania, collective succeeds in telling a story with universal validity and the story
told well has a remarkable impact.”
By way of exception, in the context of the restrictions imposed internationally, this year`s edition of DocAviv took place only online. The film lovers from Israel were able to purchase the
tickets and watch the films online during the entire festival.
The online meeting with the director Alexander Nanau, in dialogue with the film critic Shmulik Duvdevani will take place on September 12, 2020. The participation at the webinar is free, but it is conditioned by the previous registration.
