The series “The Romanians” which celebrates in 30 films three decades of post-socialist Romanian cinema, was screened at Film Forum, New York, from November 15 to 26, 2019 during the Making Waves festival. Afterwards, the retrospectives scheduled in other American cities were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The festival organizers moved part of the selection online, making the films accessible (some in premiere) to the American viewers and not only.
