She moved to Munich at an early age, with her family and her father, actor Ovidiu Schumacher. After studying acting at the Hochschule für Musik and Theater in Rostock, she joined the ensemble at Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater Schwerin and Kammerspiele Landshut. At the same time she started working in both cinema and TV.
