Anim’est 2016 recommendations for Tuesday

     The 11th Edition of Anim’est started Friday night, on 7 October, and will carry on until 16 October with animations, concerts, master-classes and animation workshops.

     For Tuesday, 11 October, Anim’est recommends two series of cat shorts, Cat Toons 1 and 2, from 14.30 and from 16.30, at CinemaPRO. Next, at the same cinema, the competition short is scheduled: Nuts! (directed by Penny Lane, SUA, 2016), about a doctor from Kansas, John Romulus Brinkley, who, in 1917, discovered he can cure impotence by transplanting testicles from he-goats to men.
     In parallel, at Cinema Elvira Popescu, the animation shorts nominated this year for the Cartoon d’Or Award will be screened, the prize being granted to the best film of the winners at the most important European festivals.
     From 20.30, at CinemaPRO, the feature film Robinson Crusoe (directed by Ben Stassen, Vincent Kesteloot, 2016) may be viewed, the 3D animation presenting the version of the famous story from the perspective of Tuesday, the parrot.
