The best animated video clips recently launched will be the delight of a special night on the agenda of Anim’est Animation Film Festival (7-16 October): Animusic Night will take place on 13 October, at Club Fabrica.

32 de video clips were entered in this year's competition, the selection including the most fanciful animations with cats, in line with the 11th Edition theme, but also with the latest releases by well-known artists such as Beck, David Gilmour, Marilyn Manson, Fever Ray or Todd Terje. Furthermore, the video clip for the piece
Sailor, of the duo Platonic Scale & Alla (feat. Mr. Sax) will also be presented, made by
Paul Mureșan – winner of the Anim’est Prize in 2014 for Best Romanian Short (
Pui de somn/A Nap).
Those who will decide the best video clip of this year are Alexandru Ciubotariu, aka Pisica Pătrată (The Square Cat), author of the first Romanian street-art album, Andrei Robin Proca, vocal frontman, guitarist and composer of the band Robin and the Backstabbers, and Ciprian Muntele, the voice of the morning show from Radio TANĂNANA, one of the most appreciated alternative music radio channel in our country.
Animusic Night is the night to screen the premiere of the video clip for the piece “Dintr-o lume în altă lume” (From One World to Another) by the band Subcarpați, made within the 7th edition of the
Animation Worksheep workshop.
Following the screenings, the night will move one with a concert by Orkid, a trio with
post-rock,
shoegaze and
post-punk influences made up of Vlad Ilicevici – guitar and voice, Radu Pop – percussion andi Andrei Tănase – bass guitar. This will be the concert for launching the first album by the band, “Standing Still in the Dark”, and will include all nine pieces from the album, each of them sang together with a guest musician. In the opening for the Orkid, the alternative rock band ELEVEN is to play, made up of Dani Avram (voice & guitar), Dorin Stan (guitar), Mugur Iliescu (bass - guitar) and Radu Moldovan (drums &
backing vocals).
