The 5th edition of the International Film Festival LET’s CEE will take place in Vienna between March 21- 27 2017 and includes 17 Romanian productions and co-productions.

Seven of them are selected in competition, the other 10 are to be shown in parallel programs.
In the feature competition there is only one Romanian film,
Ilegitim / Illegitimate (directed by
Adrian Sitaru), while in the competition dedicated to the debut films we will watch some of the most recent productions and co-productions:
Câini /
Dogs (directed by
Bogdan Mirică),
Billion Star Hotel (directed by Alecs Nastoiu),
Afacerea Est / Eastern Business (directed by
Igor Cobileanski)
Together for Ever (directed by Lina Luzyte) and
Albüm (directed by Mehmet Can Mertoğlu). In the documentary competition will be screened
Doar o răsuflare / A Mere Breath (regia
Monica Lăzurean-Gorgan), and
Ana se întoarce / Ana Is Coming Back (directed by
Ruxandra Ghițescu) is part of the short film competition.
Within
Industry Days (March 23, 24) we’ll meet
Tudor Giurgiu and
Anamaria Antoci. Tudor Giurgiu will debate in his workshop upon “Making Movies in Romania. An Overview of the Romanian Film Industry” and Anamaria Antoci will be part of the guests of the roundtable debating upon “The Present and Future Challenges of European Co-Productions in a Rapidly Changing World”.

Manasse (directed by Jean Mihail, shown accompanied by live music played by pianist Gerhard Gruber, section

Directorul nostru / Our Manager (1955, directed by
Jean Georgescu,
Best of Classics ) and
S-a furat o bombă / A Bomb was Stolen (directed by
Ion Popescu Gopo,
Best of Classics).
Invited among the festival’s guests are: directors, Nae Caranfil, Adina Dulcu, Ruxandra Ghitescu, Alecs Nastoiu, actors Miruna Biléi,
Alexandru Papadopol and
Gheorghe Visu, producer
Iuliana Tarnoveţchi and DOP Mihai Marius Apopei.
The festival will close with the screening of
Two Lottery Tickets (directed by Paul Negoescu).
