Graduate of the Institute of Theatre and Film "I.L.Caragiale" (year 1975, class George Cornea). After graduation he is hired at Buftea Cinematographic Studio. In 1986 he settled in the USA. Nominated for Oscar Award for Documentary in 2014 with Cavedigger.
