Andrei Creţulescu

Director, writer, producer
Born: 22.10.1974 in Bucharest

Graduate of the Faculty of Philology in Bucharest (class of 2000). Film critic. Starting 1999 he works with HBO, Romania. He publishes in “Re:Publik”, “Time Out Bucharest”, “Dilema veche”, ”Observator cultural”, “Revista de Film HBO”. In charge with the selection and Artistic Director of the “B-est” Intl. Film Festival, starting 2008. Collaborates to the collective volumes” 10 All Time Best Romanian Films”(2010), and “ The New Romanian Cinema. From Comrade Ceausescu to Mr Lazarescu “(2011). As a producer - he founded “ Kinosseur Productions” together with his wife, Codruța Crețulescu, in 2011.

Married to Codruţa Creţulescu, film critic and producer. They are founders of Kinosseur Productions.

Andrei Cretulescu about directing:
“Somebody once said that the best way to write a film review is to make a film. I became a film critic because I loved watching, analyzing and understanding film. In a sense, when I'm directing, I'm doing the same thing.”
