Trivia

Alexandru Baciu on his collaboration with Răzvan Rădulescu and Radu Muntean:
“We have similar and well-defined tastes when it comes to cinema. What I’m telling you now might not apply in the case of each person we work with. The fact that we know some things is essential, or, better yet, the fact that we know what to look for is essential and that makes it very easy to point out each other’s slips. Bottom-line, the workflow generally implies 99% of the time talking and 1% of the time writing. From the moment we start writing we pretty much know everything. It’s just that the dialogues are not yet formatted. We spend a lot of time discussing and analyzing things from every angle. Well… OK, each of us makes subsequent changes in what the others have written. He speaks his mind and he might even rewrite some of the lines. But I think the secret lies in the fact that, in terms of cinema, we like a certain type of artlessness, so it’s only natural that we should write mostly in the same style.” (atelier.liternet.ro 2009)
