Adrian Titieni

Born: 06.06.1963 in Bistriţa (Bistriţa-Năsăud)

Graduate of the Institute of Theatre and Film "I.L.Caragiale" (class of 1988, prof. Mircea Albulescu). He made his stage debut at the "Toma Caragiu" Theatre in Ploieşti, after which he became a member of several acting companies in Bucharest (Odeon, Foarte Mic, Bucharest National Theatre, Bulandra, Comedie, Metropolis) and around the country (Braşov, Constanţa, Buzău, Sibiu). Professor at the National University of Theatre and Film”I.L.Caragiale” in Bucharest.

Trivia

He is married to Adriana Titieni and they have two children together, Ariadna and Marc Titieni.
The two children have acted alongside their father in Domestic, and Marc also plays an important role in QED.
He founded the production company 4Proof Film together with Adrian Sitaru, Monica Lăzureanu-Gorgan and Adrian Silişteanu.
In 2004 the president of Romania granted him the Medal for Education, 1st Class.
In 2009 he founded the Sighişoara Film Festival dedicated to Romanian films awarded at international festivals.
He was Rector of the National University of Theatre and Film”I.L.Caragiale” from 2012 to 2015.
