TIFF will carry on over the weekend with a program full of good films and special events, including at its 2 outdoors locations – Open Air Unirii Square and Someș Open Air. The entire program may be found in the

Among the first TIFF weekend recommendations are also the

Häxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages.
Moreover, on Saturday evening, 28 May, Romanian astronaut
Dumitru Prunariu will be present at the Students' Culture House, from 18.30, at the special screening of
Operation Avalanche (directed by Matt Johnson) and of
Opt zile în cosmos/Eight Days in Cosmos (directed by
David Reu), marking 35 years since his first flight into space.
Among the features to be screened during this weekend, mention should be made of:
Carol (directed by Todd Haynes) (the funds from the tickets' sale will be donated to Hospice Casa Speraței), the
retrospective Sion Sono,
Nelly’s Adventures (directed by Dominik Wessely) within EducaTIFF (29 May, at 11.00, Cinema Florin Piersic) and
MR. GAGA (directed by Tomer Heymann).
A re-edited version of
Odiseei spațiale a lui Stanley Kubrick/Stanley Kubrick's Space Odiseey, on the original

music by the duo Zone Libre, will be screened as part of a unique cine-concert,
Zone Libre Revisite 2001, Sunday, from 19.00, at the Students' Cultural House.
Furthermore, the first Festival days will bring
a series of concerts performed by Romanian bands - The Mono Jacks (Saturday, 28 May), Byron (Sunday, 29 May) și Coma (Sunday) –, as well as the concert of the Lithuanian neo-folk band Garbanotas Bosistas (free of charge admission).
