“Beside Me” Will Be Out in the Romanian Cinemas on October 26, 2018

Beside Me/Coborâm la prima is an inspirational story about the human nature and about the human behavior in crisis situations and also about how to truly discover someone if you have the time to listen to him.
Being forced to spend a few hours together because the subway stops between the stations, the passengers start to discover themselves, to remove the prejudices that they have towards the people with whom they accidentally share the same means of transportation. The film story becomes even more touching because of the context: the action takes place the morning after the terrible fire that happened at the Colectiv Club.
“It is an inspirational story that we live every day. We are in the subway the way we are in the world. It is not a film about Colectiv, but life cannot deny the event. They are parallel stories from the lives of more people that meet on a day with a special meaning for some of us.” the director Tedy Necula says.
The producer Anca Vlăsceanu also declares: “Being an independent film, the time and the resources count, so we had to build the subway wagon only in seven days, with a team made of eight people. They worked until late at night and we are glad that the setting seems very real.”
Beside Me is an independent film, produced and directed by Tedy Necula; the cinematography is signed by Alexandru Timoşca, and the screenplay belongs to Alexandra Axinte.
“Beside Me is a rare challenge. I started this project with Tedy a few years ago and we let it grow, both being sure that we can do better. Two years ago we continued the journey and after a few intense months of work, we succeeded in bringing it where we wanted. It is not easy to tell a story in which the action takes place in the same space, in real time, with different characters, whose destinies intertwine for the first time. But here comes the artfulness in storytelling. And our joy also comes from the moments when the actors come and tell you that they are looking forward to shooting with you!, the screenwriter Alexandra Axinte said.
Tedy Necula succeeded in bringing to the cast of this film some of the most beloved Romanian actors: Constantin CotimanisAdrian Păduraru,
Teodora MareşVictoria CociaşConstantin DrăgănescuEmilian OpreaEla Ionescu, Dan Murzea, Tudorel FilimonGavril Pătru, Tomas Otto Ghela, Cezar Grumăzescu, Francesca Leonte, Andrei Eftene, Dana Porlogeu, Iulia Dumitru and Sonia Teodoriu.
The film has recently won among other awards, the IPIFF Trophy 2018 and the UPFAR- ARGOA Award for the best indie fiction feature directorial debut.
Tedy Necula is well-known since childhood, when he was the protagonist of the film Noro, which was directed by Radu Gabrea. Tedy Necula directed many documentaries and he is known as motivational speaker.
