Romania will be the invited country at the 13th edition of the non-competitive film festival Muestra de Cine Europeo taking place in Segovia, from November 14 to 20.

The Romanian participation organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Madrid and by the Romanian Embassy in Spain, in collaboration with Dacin Sara, will include 25 activities. The programming is made around 12 classic and contemporary Romanian productions.
In the main section, three recent films are scheduled, which were internationally awarded and acclaimed:
Touched Me not/Nu mă atinge-mă, made by
Adina Pintilie, which received the Golden Bear at the 2018 edition of the Berlin International Film Festival,
Lemonade, the feature film directed by
Ioana Uricaru, which received 5 international awards and
One Step Behind the Seraphim / Un pas în urma serafimilor (directed by
Daniel Sandu), the most awarded feature film at the 2018 Gopo Awards Gala.
The others titles included in the program are: two documentaries signed by
Radu Jude,
Dead Nation/Țara moartă and
Alexandru Solomon,
Tarzan`s Testicles/Ouăle lui Tarzan, as well as the feature filmd
Why Me?/De ce eu? (directed by
Tudor Giurgiu),
La Moara cu noroc (directed by
Victor Iliu),
Reconstruction/Reconstituirea (directed by
Lucian Pintilie),
Sequences/Secvențe (directed by
Alexandru Tatos),
The Death of Mr. Lăzărescu/Moartea Domnului Lăzărescu (directed by
Cristi Puiu),
4 Months, 3 Weks and 2 Days/4 luni, 3 săptămâni și 2 zile (directed by
Cristian Mungiu),
12:08 Esat of Bucharest/A fost sau n-a fost (directed by
Corneliu Porumboiu) complete the selection of the films that marked the Romanian film history.
