The International Documentary and Human Rights Film Festival One World Romania prepares for the start of its 10th edition which will take place between 13-19 of March, 2017, at the Elvira Popescu cinema hall, the Romanian Cinematheque (Eforie and Union halls), and the Horia Bernea hall at the cinema of the Peasant Museum.

The festival will bring in Bucharest over 60 films,
grouped on
various themes.
As in the former editions, OWR dedicates a program to the documentaries produced in the Sahia Studios-called
SAHIA VINTAGE: The Ministry of Identity. The section
Romanian on the Move presents three Romanian documentaries:
Frăția / The Brotherhood (directed by Cătălin Farcaș),
Varză, cartofi și alți demoni / Cabbage,
Potatoes and Other Demons (by Șerban Georgescu) and
A început ploaia / It Started Raining (directed by Michele Lancione).
Romania: Work in Progress includes three development projects:
Țara moartă / The Dead Country, the doc directed by
Radu Jude about the Costică Acsinte collection,
Circuit, the
film about the forest exploitation by
Monica Lăzurean-Gorgan and
The Trial (directed by
Claudiu Mitcu and
Ileana Bîrsan) about Mihai Moldoveanu, former officer in the Romanian Army, convicted to 25 years in prison for a crime he says he did not commit.
