Over 2,000 viewers attending the 3rd Edition of “Ceau, Cinema!” Festival

The third Edition of “Ceau, Cinema!” Festival wrapped on Sunday night with the screening of Bacalaureat/Graduation (directed by Cristian Mungiu), at the refurbished movie theatre in Gottlob commune.
Over 2,000 viewers attended the four days of screenings set up by the festival in Timișoara and Gottlob.
The Jury made up of actors Alina Ilea and Alexandru Papadopol, and director Răzvan Georgescu decided that the “Ceau, Cinema!” Trophy for the Best Film in the competition, rising to EUR 1,000, should go to the Croatian feature-length film Viața e o trompetă/Life Is A Trumpet (directed by Antonio Nuic).
The Jury granted a Special Mention to the Polish film Soră-mea/My Sister (directed by Kinga Debska). My Sister was also the winner of the Audience Award, amounting to EUR 500, sponsored by Kathrein România.
The “Ceau, Cinema!” team decided, together with Vitas România, that the Best Independent Film Award should be shared by two features: the debut short Libelula/The Dragonfly, made by young filmmakers Mimi Sălăjan and Adelina Bulibașa and included in the Banat Films programme, and the independent comedy Două lozuri/Two Lottery Tickets (directed by Paul Negoescu).
The third edition of “Ceau, Cinema!” was held between 14-17 July, in Timișoara and Gottlob. “Ceau, Cinema!” is a festival dedicated to European cinema, organised by the Big Screen Association and by the Culture Film Association.
