To this historical edition for our cinema is dedicated the file „Les films de Bucarest a Cannes”. It includes a history of our participations to the most prestigious international festival, and comments especially on our films selected in the main competition (
Bacalaureat/Graduation by
Cristian Mungiu and
Sieranevada by
Cristi Puiu) şi secţiunea Un Certain Regard (
Câini/Dogs by
Bogdan Mirică), but also on productions signed by great filmmakers of the world.
The other file of this issue is dedicated to the cinematographic representation of Romanian royalties (not too many), to the filmography (not to rich) portraying our crowned heads, such portraits being approached more often than not from ideology-related perspectives.
Apart from the Cannes Festival, this issue also dedicates pages to other international film competitions: Bari Festival, Toulouse Festival, NexT Festival, Bucharest International Experimental Film Festival, One World Romania, Cinepolitica, European Film Festival. There are also available for reading the columns „Film Review”, „Theatre Hall”, „Panoramic”.
