Gopo Awards Gala, the most important event dedicated to Romanian cinema industry reaching its 11th edition will take place later in March 2017, in Bucharest.

This year, based on the 2016's premieres list, made available by the National Filmmaking Centre, 21 feature-length films are eligible for being considered by the jurors and nominated at Gopo 2017 Awards.
Eligible will be deemed the Romanian features produced in Romanian or made as co-productions, but with majority Romanian participation, and which had their big screen premiere in Romania between 1 January – 31 December of last year, and that had at least one week of cinema broadcasting in theatre halls, with access made by ticket.
At the sections dedicated to fiction feature-lengths, the nominations will be made without previous entry being required.
The organisers will require the producers to fill up a technical chart in order to ensure the accuracy of information delivered within the process of juroring and nomination, as well as a copy of the film to be made available to the members' of the nominations section.
As regards the films eligible exclusively within the categories
Best Documentary, Best Short, the registration of the film by producers is mandatory, in order for the films to be taken into consideration by the jury that is to decide the nominations.
The entries for the 11th Edition of Gopo Awards must be made between 23 January – 5 February 2017.
The Romanian documentary or short filmmakers are hereby invited to fill up the technical chart available on the official site www.premiilegopo.ro and to send it electronically, together with the film's visualising link, at the e-mail address: alexandra.boghiu@premiilegopo.ro.
