The Festival will open in on 27 May, at „Capitol” Summer Garden of „Banatul” Philharmonic, with the gala film
Banat (Italy, 2015, directed by Adriano Valerio). The screening will be attended by Romanian actor
Ștefan Velniciuc, playing the part Ion in the film, who will answer the viewers' questions after the screening.
Between 27-29 May, at the AMBASADA, residents of Timișoara are invited to view seven very different European features: dramas, action movies, omnibuses, filmed theatre, experimental art films. Among them, mention should be made of a shorts' omnibus on Zagreb; a modern and non-conformist revisiting of Shakespeare's
Hamlet (2015), starring actress Maxine Peake in the leading role, of the experimental film
Hotel Dallas and of
Mediterranea.
Admission to screenings is free of charge.
