The 13th edition of the Gopo Awards Gala, the most prestigious event dedicated to the Romanian film industry, will take place on Tuesday, March 19, at the National Theatre in Bucharest. The nominations will be announced by the end of February.

The selection jury, decided by the consultative board of the Gopo Awards is made of 11 professionals of the local film industry -

Horea Murgu (sound engineer), Ileana Cecanu (distributor), Andrei Tănăsescu (programmer and curator) – and film critics, theoreticians and journalists -

Anca Grădinariu, Georgiana Mușat, Cătălin Mesaru, Christian Ferencz-Flatz.
After the jury will announce the nominees, over 600 active members of the Romanian film industry will be invited to vote for the winners of the 2019 Gopo trophies. This thing will be possible with the help of a vote system ensured by the prestigious audit and consultancy company PwC Romania.
The 2019 Gopo Awards Gala – edition 13 is organized by the Romanian Film Promotion Association together with the Film and Urban Culture Association, with the support of the Romanian Film Center, the National Theatre of Bucharest and Babel Communications.
