Virgil Ianțu plays in “The Unlucky One”

The famous TV host, Virgil Ianțu, went through a complete make-over at the indications of director Iura Luncaşu and gave up almost all his head hair, also accepting a generous layer of make-up, which made him look at least 20 years older, all these for his role in the comedy Ghinionistul / The Unlucky One, to be premiered on the big screens from 8 December.
In the interpretation of a devoted father, willing to offer his daughter all required material support, the character played by Virgil Ianțu, Mr. Dinu, will find out the hard way that the most important things for a child are attention and unconditional love. The conflictual relation Dinu has with his daughter (Sânziana Tarţa) will make him reconsider his entire way of life.
The Unlucky One brings together important actors, well-known names of the music industry and significant figures of the local showbiz. Staring Vlad Logigan, Sânziana Tarţa, Gheorghe Visu and Radu Gabriel in the leading roles, the film has also savoury parts for: Dorian Popa, Levent Sali, Diana Dumitrescu, Ruby, Augustin Viziru, Virgil Ianţu and Codin Maticiuc.
The script was signed by Salex Iatma, Iura Luncaşu and Radu Gabriel, the comedy's producers being Iura Luncaşu and Andrei Băltăreţu-Iancu. The shootings took place in October of last year, in the town of Reşita and its surroundings.
The story of the comedy The Unlucky One is about grinning and bearing it, about a young man too caught in the daily worries and too convinced that bad luck is following him, that he forgets that some things depend only on him in order to fulfil his dreams.
Distributed by Vertical Entertainment, the films will be premiered in movie theatres all over the country on 8 December.
