Soldiers / Soldații. Poveste din Ferentari (directed by
Ivana Mladenović) was selected in the official competition of the TLV Fest – the International LGTB Film Festival in Tel Aviv (May 31 – June, 2018.
The film will have two screenings at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque, on June 2 and June 5. With the support of the Tel Aviv Romanian Cultural Institute, Adrian Schiop, the film protagonist and co-screenwriter, will attend the festival and the Q&A after the screening.
The TLV Fest is the only festival of this type in Israel. Along the years, the festival enjoyed the presence of some important personalities and activists for the rights of the LGBT community, such as Alan Cumming, Lea DeLaria, Bruce La Bruce, Wieland Speck (curator of the Berlinale Panorama), Jay Brannan (Shortbus), Jamie Babbit, Angela Robinson (D.E.B.S.), Joey Arias, Cheryl Dunye (The Watermelon Woman), Mark Christopher (Studio 54), Alanté Kavaïté (The Summer of Sangaile), Daniel Ribeiro (The Way He Looks).
