Thousands of viewers filled the cinema theatres and the other venues arranged for viewing in parks and cafes at the seventh edition of the event
White Night of Romanian Film, which took place on 16 September.

The Romanian Farmers' Cinema was overcrowded with hundreds of Bucharest viewers eager to see
Sieranaveda, the latest feature by
Cristi Puiu, screened with actors
Bogdan Dumitrache and Alina Ciontea in attendance. A full house had also the film
Ilegitim/Illegitimate (directed by
Adrian Sitaru), at midnight, at the screening introduced by actors
Alina Grigore and Robi Urs. For the preview screening of comedyi
Două lozuri/Two Lottery Tickets (directed by
Paul Negoescu), there were queues at Cinema Elvire Popesco, and the Q&A session with
Alexandru Papadopol,
Dorian Boguță and the other actors of the cast was one of the most well-liked.
The edition's surprise-film,
Câini/Dogs (directed by
Bogdan Mirică), to be released in theatres on 23 September, was received with applauses by the numerous audience coming with enthusiasm at the latest screening of the programme.
The Romanian shorts of the TIFF 2016 selection brought tens of cinema fans to J'ai Bistrot and to Deschis Gastrobar, and Unteatru Theatre enjoyed full houses at the
tribute-films in memoriam actors
Radu Beligan,
Marin Moraru and
Mircea Albulescu. Film critic Irina Margareta Nistor and director
Andrei Cohn had long talks with the viewers about the documentary
Chuck Norris vs. Communism, respectively about the film
Acasă la tata/Back Home, at the House of Arts Cultural Centre. The two open-air venues in the programme of the White Night of Romanian Film, Titan Park and Crângași Park, made also their debut in force, gathering hundreds of viewers.
