The Romanian Film and Audiovisual Producers Union – Romanian Association for the Management of Audiovisual Works, with the support of the National Film Archives – Romanian Cinematheque, of the Romanian Filmmakers Union and of UNATC „I.L. Caragiale”, is organising
a retrospective in memoriam with features by late director
Radu Gabrea.

Between 1-5 March 2017, Cinematheque Union of Bucharest will host the retrospective Radu Gabrea, with a selection of 10 films directed by the regretted Romanian filmmaker:

Moştenirea lui Goldfaden / Goldfaden's Heritage,
Cocoşul decapitat / Beheaded Rooster,
Concerte la Biserica Neagră / Black Church Concerts,
Călătoria lui Gruber / Gruber's Journey,
Nu te teme, Iacob / Don't Be Afraid, Jacob and
Dincolo de nisipuri / Beyond the Sands.
Radu Gabrea emigrated to Germany in 1974, after his second feature film was banned in Romania. In Germania, the Romanian director made films such as
Un bărbat ca Eva / A Man like Eve,
Nu te teme, Iacob / Don't Be Afraid, Jacob,
Rosenemil - o tragică iubire / Rosenemil – A Tragic Love.
The films will be preceded by a documentary and interviews with Radu Gabrea.
Admission will be free of charge.
