In partnership with Viasat History,
Dracula Film Festival (12-16 October, Brașov) is presenting two films full of witchcraft, black magic and enchantments that will send chills down your spine: the classic
Vrăjitoarele din Eastwick/
The Witches of Eastwick (directed by George Miller, 1987) and
The Witch (directed by Robert Eggers, 2015), one of the most fascinating arthouse horror movies of the latest years, in which the style and horror are triumphant.

Admission to these screenings will be free of charge, as well as to Dracula FF conferences delivered by Viasat and hosted by Nicolae Pepene, director of the County History Museum: „Virtue and witchcraft. Brașov feminine portraits of the pre-modern era” (guest Irina Mastan, historian), „On life, death and body from the

perspective of older and newer legends” (guest Laura Iliescu,
senior researcher with „Constantin Brăiloiu” Ethnography and Folklore Institute of Sibiu), and „Dracula invites you to the Socialist Republic of Romania” (guest Liviu Tofan – Romanian Institute for Recent History). Dracula Film Festival's programme also includes two features to be screened in premiere in Romania: the latest film of the cult series
Blair Witch (directed by Adam Wingard, 2016), which was a box office hit and was acclaimed by horror movies' fans, and
Camera terorii/
The Disappointments Room (directed by D.J. Caruso, 2016), a supernatural thriller starring Kate Beckinsale.
