In a world in wich change can be considered the only constant thing and in which the exchange of information and the speed of updating it became vital, the development of science and technology become the necessities of a century that just starts its journey through history.
Science, Fiction & Technology Film Festival is a new film event taking place in Timișoara and the neighboring areas, which at its first edition will explore through film different thematic in the fields of science, fiction and technology.
The festival will take place from September 27 to 29, at the Cioca Aerodrome (Calea Torontalului, km.3) and the local people are invited to discover during the three days of screenings how science, fiction and technology give a new sha
pe to the film art and not only.
Organized by the Cinemascop Association, the Science, Fiction & Technology Film Festival intends to give the city the possibility to be in tune with the most captivating films put together under these categories and to participate in events, debates and interactive activities connected to technology and film.
Besides the film screenings, the first edition also intends to bring three days of debates that will take place during the Flight Festival Timișoara.
At its first edition, the Flight Festival will take place from September 27 to 29 at the Cioca Aerodrome and it brings a week end full of music, technology, art. The organizers offer the audience three exploring areas: Technology ZONE, Art ZONE și Fun ZONE. In the area dedicated to technology, the participants will explore the visual reality, the augmented reality and other installations. The Art Zone will include the film screenings and the festival debates and the Fun Zone is dedicated to the activities and workshops.
The line-up of this first edition is made of: ATB, Brooks, Dirty Nano, Vama, Grasu XXL, The Motans, Guess Who, Spike, Manuel Riva, Paul Damixie and many more.
