
The band JazzyBIT will open the new edition of Timishort IFF on the evening of 6 October, at Club Ambasada, from 22:00. Set up in 2012, in Timișoara, the JazzyBIT is made up of Teodor Pop (piano, keyboards), Mihai Moldoveanu (bas) and Szabó Csongor-Zsolt (drums), and supplies an energetic combination of jazz and rock, sprinkled with blues, Latin and funk.
The night of 8 October is reserved to a special event, traditionally scheduled after the screening of the experimental film competition Videorama

The Mask of Zorro (1920) is scheduled, and the Polish band SpaceStar Lovers will concert live, creating a novel sound ambiance meant to deliver the audience a challenging mix of old and new.
Furthermore, on 7 October, at the Studio Hall of the House of Arts, from 11:30, everybody is invited to take part to the debate “How does cinema shape society?”, hosted by André Lameiras and Radu Sticlea. How can films influence the way we think? Are they influencing us individually? How about from a society-wise standpoint, as a whole?
The House of Arts will also host the photo exhibition “Oculus”, made by Daniela Schinderman. The works represent a distorted form of the human body in the vision of today's society.
