The Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and the Romanian Cultural Institute “Mihai Eminescu” of Chișinău announce the premiere screening of the feature
Closer to the moon (2014, directed by
Nae Caranfil), at the opening of the European Film Festival held in the Republic of Moldova.

The event will be held on Sunday, 15 May 2016, at 17.00, in „Ştefan cel Mare şi Sfânt” Public Garden of Chișinău.
This year, besides the film opening the Festival, Romanian will present other two features:
Q.E.D (2013, directed by
Andrei Gruzsniczki), on 17 May, at 20.25, and
Toată lumea din familia noastră/Everybody in our Family (2012, directed by
Radu Jude), on 19 May, at 18.30.
The three Romanian films will be also screened in the following localities: Bălţi (at „Alecu Russo” State University), Cahul (at “B.P. Hașdeu” Theatre) and Comrat (at the Romanian Information Centre), as part of the events dedicated to Europe Day, between 25-26 May.
This year's edition of the European Film Festival will be held in the European Small Town, opened during 15-20 May, in “Ştefan cel Mare şi Sfânt” Public Garden of Chișinău.
