„Toni Erdmann”, national preview at Anonimul International Film Festival
Toni Erdmann, directed by Maren Ade, co-produced by Ada Solomon, will have a national preview screeningat Anonimul International Film Festival in Sfântu Gheorghe, the Danube Delta (8-14 August, 2016). The screening is scheduled on Wednesday, 10 August, from 23.00. Toni Erdmann (Germany-Austria-Romania) is one of the three finalist features entered into the race for Lux Film Prize. The productions will be screened at Lux Film Days, duringOctober - December 2016, in all 28 countries members of the European Union. The film got the FIPRESCI Award for Best Film in the official competition of the Cannes Film Festival 69th edition, being one of the critics' favourites for the Palme D’Or Trophy. Toni Erdmann is the story of Winfried who rarely sees his daughter, Ines, who is very caught up in her job. The music teacher left suddenly without pupils decides to pay her a surprise visit. The cast of the film is headed up by Peter Simonischek and Sandra Hüller, Michael Wittenborn, Thomas Loibl, Trystan Pütter, Hadewych Minis, Lucy Russell, playing alongside Romanian actorsVlad Ivanov, Ingrid Bisu, Alexandru Papadopol and Victoria Cociaș. Shot almost entirely in Romania in the summer of 2014, the feature was co-produced by Ada Solomon through Hi Film Productions. The film will be released on 21 October in Romanian theatres, being distributed by microFILM.
