John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix at the American Independent Film Festival

     Actors Joaquin Phoenix and John C. Reilly are in Romania for the shooting of the international production The Sisters Brothers, directed by Jacques Audiard. In honour of their presence in Bucharest, American Independent Film Festival is setting up on Saturday, 16 September, a series of special screenings.
     From 19.00, at Cinema PRO, the feature The Little Hours will be screened (directed by Jeff Baena, 2017) and from 20:45, at Cinematheque Eforie, Hard Eight is to be screened (directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, 1996), both honouring John C. Reilly, and from 21:00, at CinemaPRO, the film by Spike Jonze, Her, is scheduled, with Joaquin Phoenix in the leading role. Depending on the hour the shooting to The Sisters Brothers will end, Joaquin Phoenix and John C. Reilly are expected at the beginning or at the end of the screening to say hi to the viewers.
     Director Barry Jenkins, Oscar winner for Best Film in 2017, will open the Festival by a un Q&A live through Skype at the end of the screening of Moonlight, on Friday, 15 September, from 18:15, at Cinematheque Eforie. The Festival is also to present a section Focus Ethan Hawke within which the actor will introduce the features Born to Be Blue (19 September, at 21.00, Cinema PRO) and Boyhood (20 September, at 19.15, Cinema PRO) and will host a Q&A session at the end of the screening of Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead (21 September, at 19.00, Cinema PRO), at the closing of the Festival.
