From November 8 to 30, 2018, the Munich City Museum hosted the Romanian Film Festival, organized by the German-Romanian Forum Nürnberg (Ge·Fo·Rum), run by Brigitte Drodtloff, Filmmuseum Münichen, CNC and TRIARTE International. The event was part of the Romanian Culture Days in Germany.
Productions from 2017 and 2018 were screened: Meda or the Not So Bright Side of Things / Meda sau Partea nu prea fericită a lucrurilor, by Emanuel Pârvu, Octav by Ioan Serge Celebidachi, Soldiers / Soldații. Poveste din Ferentari, by Ivana Mladenovic, Marița, by Cristi Iftime, “I Do not Care if We Go Down in History as Barbarians / Îmi este indiferent dacă în istorie vom intra ca barbari”, directed
by Radu Jude, The Neverending Morning / Dimineața care nu se va sfârși, by Ciprian Mega, Pororoca, by Constantin Popescu, Hawaii, by Jesus del Cero. The program also included two films directed by Radu Potcoavă: Miss Sueno and Summer Is Over / Vara s-a sfârșit.
The actor Marcel Iureș, the director Jesus del Cerro, Andrei and Codruța Crețulescu were invited to attend the festival. Andrei Crețulescu was present at the screenings of all his short films and of his feature film Charleston.
A selection of the most recent short films completed the program screened in Munich: C The Christmas Gift / Cadoul de Crăciun, by Bogdan Mureșanu, Michelangelo, by Anghel Damian, Sunday / Duminică, by Dorian Boguță, Liniște, by Alex Iureș, T Everything is very far / Totul e foarte departe, by Emanuel Pârvu, 2, 6 lei, by Camelia Popa. The selection included also a historic film: Momentul adevărului – Dreptatea, by Andrei Blaier.
The films The Neverending Morning and The Christmas Gift received the Audience Awards.
