“5 Minutes Too Late”, by Dan Chișu, Released in the Romanian Cinemas Starting with March 27
The film 5 Minutes Too Late / 5 Minute, written and directed by Dan Chișu, will be released in the Romanian cinemas starting with March 27, 2020, being distributed by Domestic Film. The feature film had the world premiere in October 2019, in the official competition of the 35th edition of the Warsaw International Film Festival.
The drama features Mihai Călin, Diana Cavallioti, Emanuel Pârvu, Ana Radu, Elvira Deatcu, Adrian Titieni, Gabi Huian and Aida Economu.
Dan Chișu`s latest feature film is based on true facts. In a cinema in Bucharest, a film about a couple made of two women is being screened. Shortly after the beginning of the screening, a few spectators stand up from their seats and start protesting against the LGBT community represented by a few members who were present in the cinema hall. The press accused the Gendarmerie for not stopping the conflict in time, which led to the situation in which a young man got hurt and ended up in hospital. The film focuses on the story of the man who led the Gendarmerie in action., seen in the investigation of a young woman known for the unusually bold investigations.
The cinematography is signed by Adrian Silișteanu, the editing by Letiția Ștefănescu, the sound by Marius Leftărache, the art direction by Gina Călin, the costumes by Adina Bucur, the make-up by Dana Roșeanu and hair Manuela Simionescu. The producer is Anamaria Antoci. 5 Minutes Too Late is a Domestic Film Production, in co-production with DaKINO Production, made with the support of the Romanian Film Centre, The Media Creative Programme of the European Union, in collaboration with the Romanian Television Society.
