The Inve$tors tells the story of three old friends that work in an auto-parts factory in a province town. When the factory is bought out by some foreign investors, the three of them, alongside many other workers lose their jobs. They are offered the salaries for an entire year, so they decide to spend an unforgettable week end in Bucharest. After a hot night, the next morning they wake up with a hangover with the intention of going back home, but they take a different road and stop by the entrance of a village, feeling lost and with no gas for their car. Impressed by their appearance, the local people mistake them for some foreign investors, who came to invest in the local business. They are invited by the mayor to start the negotiations, then they are invited over to his house to have dinner and the three friends are charmed by how hospitable and friendly are the people they met.
Soon they are exposed by the chief of the police, who discover that the car they came with was reported stolen and the three of them are forces to leave the village. On their way home, the irony is that they are stopped by the real foreign investors, who were interested in investing in the area and the three of them decide it would be good to return and help the local people with the negotiations. The transaction is successful and the film ends with the boys becoming the heroes of the village.
The comedy
The Inve$tors will have the premiere on the big screen in 2020 and it is an independent film produced by Vertical Content.
