The Pitch competition, organised by ShortsTV, comes back to the NexT International Film Festival (7-11 April).

Young filmmakers may register, for the third consecutive year, in the run for a EURO 5,000 Prize – money granted for the production of a short feature. The winner of The Pitch 2015 was
Paul Mureșan (
Mamă, tată, am să vă spun ceva / Mom, Dad, I Have Something to Tell You).
The registration starts today, March 11th, and will last until March 27th, 11.59 pm, Romania time. The competitors should include a synopsis of the film, the director's concept, the director's bio-filmography and a
showreel of 30-60 seconds, all in English. The selection of the 10 short-listed competitors is to be made by ShortsTV, and their respective names will be announced on April 1st.
The Festival is also organising the NexT Short Film Market as completion to The Pitch competition. The 10 competitors will be given the opportunity to discuss in detail their screenplays with a script doctor – the writer and screenwriter Florin Lăzărescu, and also to pitch their projects to Romanian and foreign producers. The short-listed competitors must have directed or produced at least a short feature.
