“Shelly” and “Wednesday”, with actress Cosmina Stratan, at TIFF 2016

     Shelley (Denmark-Sweden co-production) and the short Wednesday (Romania) are the two films starring Cosmina Stratan this year at TIFF.

     The psychological-horror drama Shelley is the feature film debut of director Ali Abbasi, and was selected in the official competition of Transilvania International Film Festival. Actress Cosmina Stratan and Ellen Dorrit Petersen star in the leading roles.
     The film's screening was scheduled on Tuesday, 31 May, at 15.00, and on Thursday, at 17.30, at Cinema Victoria, Cluj-Napoca.
     The short Wednesday (15’), directed by Goran Mihailov, starring Cristi Iacob and Cosmina Stratan, tells the story of Andrei and his parents, who go together on a journey after being separated for 2 years. The film is in the competition of the Romanian Film Days - shorts' section, and is to be screened on Wednesday, 1 June, at 22.45, at Cinema Florin Piersic, Cluj–Napoca. The screenplay was written by Cătălin Mitulescu.
