The days of August 7, 8, 9 and 10, 2018 are dedicated to the Open Camp Vaslui Festival. The Romanian Film Centennial and the Romanian Film Nights, projects organized by the ARTIS Association from Iași, bring four Romanian films to
Open Camp.
The Romanian Film Nights Festival has been organized in Iași, every year since 2010 and ever since it has succeeded in bringing important guests and Romanian film productions in front of

the local viewers. This year`s edition, which took place in Iași, in June, had over 30 events dedicated exclusively to the Romanian cinema and it attracted more than 8,000 viewers.
The novelty of this year`s festival is that for a few days the event will take place in Vaslui, during the Open Camp Festival, which reached its 9th edition.
“The
Open Camp viewers are more and more interested in the Romanian film and that was quite obvious last year when we had a few hundred people watching the open-air screenings. We were overwhelmed to see how hundreds of Vaslui inhabitants brought their blankets and pillows to the Copou park in order to watch
Eastern Business / Afacerea Est,
Planeta Petrila or
6.9 on the Richter Scale / 6,9 grade pe scara Richter. It was a pretty clear sign that the Vaslui viewers are eager to see especially Romanian films that they don`t have a place to watch them in. I`ll say again that at this point there is no cinema in Vaslui. there are only two deserted buildings that used to accommodate two large cinema halls. I`m sure that this year`s screenings will run in full house.” Ciprian Hordilă, the director of the Open Camp Festival said.
