What to watch at One World Romania 10 on Thursday

On Thursday, March 16, the documentary Circuit / Wood (directed by Monica Lăzurean-Gorgan), will be screened at Union Cinema, from 6:00 p.m., as part of the Romania Work-in-progress program of OWR 10.
Thursday’s debate, “Without Fear about Domestic Violence”, is organized in partnership with the Sensiblu Foundation, which has created, since 2002, several programs to support victims of domestic violence. The debate will be moderated by Andreea Braga (FILIA Center) and the speakers are Laura Andrei (president of the Bucharest Tribunal), Oana Sandu (journalist - DoR), Andra Croitoru (Secretary of State - ANES), Aurelian Bocan (Chief Police inspector in the Service for Criminality Analysis and Prevention) și Claudia Bădica (psychotherapist – Sensiblu Foundation).
Alexandru Solomon recommends watching several films scheduled to be screened on Thursday. Maladia Haider / Catching Haider, “a thrilling portrait of the first extreme right-wing European leader to have come so terribly close to power before dying in a strange car accident” will be screening at Eforie Cinema from 6:00 p.m. Eforie Cinema is also the place where you can watch O viață germană / A German Life (starting at 8:30 p.m.), a film about Goebbels’s former secretary. The director, Roland Schrotthofer, will be present and will talk to the audience after the screening.
As for the films running at the Peasant Museum Cinema, Alexandru Solomon recommends watching "Furia albă / White Rage, a film about a kid bullied by his classmates that ends up planning a mass murder, and Insultă / Insult, that starts at 8:30 p.m., that gathers up moving stories about the deep wounds inflicted on our psyche by the cruelty of others.”
