Director Park Chan-wook was granted the ANONIMUL Trophy for his contribution to the beauty of universal cinema, at the Opening Gala of the Festival's 13th Edition on Monday, 8 August.

“It is the most beautiful trophy I have ever received, and it was the most beautiful sunset I had ever seen,” Park Chan-wook said upon accepting the trophy handed out by Miruna Berescu, Festival's Director.
The Gala was followed by the Romanian premiere screening of the latest film signed by director Park Chan-wook,
The Handmaiden. The film is to be released in Romanian theatres on 4 November by Macondo Cultural Association.
Park Chan-wook Retrospective will bring to ANONIMUL the following features:
Join Security Area,
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance,
Oldboy,
Lady Vengeance and
Thrist.
The director came to the Festival with actress Kim Hae-sook and producer Wonjo Jeong. At the end of the retrospective, to be concluded on Thursday, 11 August with the screening of
Oldboy (Grand Prize of the Jury, Cannes 2004), Park Chan-wook will deliver a masterclass.
ANONIMUL 13 is unfolding between 8 - 14 August, in Sfântu Gheorghe, the Danube Delta, and includes two
competition programmes, for short and full-length films, as well as a
Romanian film section.
