One World Romania: „Romania needs cultural infrastructure”

During the last year, more and more cultural institutions lost their operating spaces – movie theatres and stage theatres were closed all over the country as a result of implementing Law 282/2015.
The One World Romania International Documentary and Human Rights Festival was confronted with this problem while setting up its 9th Edition unfolding this week in Bucharest, and they solved it by organising the One World Romania Embassy in a tent, in Colțea Park.
On Thursday afternoon, the One World Romania team armed themselves with towels, sheets and a portable projector and walked to the Constitution Square, together with a part of the Festival's guests. But films cannot be projected on a towel. Romania needs spaces for cultural events and a functional infrastructure.
