The ninth Edition of One World Romania Documentary and Human Rights International Festival was wrapped up on Sunday, March 27th, in Bucharest, by designating the
award-winning film.

For a week, OWR 9 brought Bucharest viewers documentary features and over 20 foreign and Romanian guests, facilitating talks about current issues the world is facing – the refugee crisis, domestic violence or nuclear plants' effects, these being only a few of the topics discussed.
In 2017, the Festival's artistic management will be taken over by Mădălina Roșca, while
Alexandru Solomon is to remain the Chairman of the Association

continuing to oversee all the projects and events set up by One World Romania.
The DVDs launching with previous selections of the Festival are to be carried on, as well as the educational project One World Romania in school. Furthermore, within OWR 2016, the second edition of
Kinedok was also launched, through the screening of the documentary feature
Roboțelul de aur (Golden Robot) (directed by Mihai Dragolea and Radu Mocanu), which was entered into the distribution platform catalogue.
Every Monday during April, at the Bucharest Czech Centre, a screening from this year's selection of the Festival will be held, and starting on Wednesday, March 30th, the subscribers of mubi.com site will be given the opportunity to watch some of the OWR 2016 films:
