The UNATC-Cinepub partnership continues, bringing school films - that are difficult to access or unknown to the large public – to the viewers from all over the world. This week the platform offers a new double premiere – Flux Reflux directed by Ioana Grigore and Tabăra din Răzoare directed by Cristi Iftime.
"Another film I care about is the short film Flux Reflux, my first contact with the 16 mm black and white analog film. It is a film about a break-up. It started from a play, ”Someone Is Going to Come” by Norwegian author Jon Fosse, but it turned into a different story, keeping only the general idea of the initial text. The film speaks about two people who move together in a little house by the beach, far from the daily hustle and bustle. But once there, she realizes that`s not what she wants.”, Ioana Grigore says about her film.
“Yes, the film is inspired by things that happened to me, but I fictionalized and tried to do things in such a way that the viewer may think of his own breakup of a certain age. It`s not necessarily a biological age, but rather a psychological one. Some happen at 18, others at 30. It is a time of transition to adulthood. I was drawn towards speaking about heroes who are younger than I am. I was more interested in speaking about this age that is slightly unconscious.", says Cristi Iftime about Tabăra din Răzoare.
