“Lună Plină” / “Full Moon” Horror & Fantastic Film Festival, the first of this kind in Romania, comes back between 25 - 28 august to Biertan, for its fifth edition.

For four days, in the picturesque Transylvanian village, the genre fans will have the opportunity to savour horror stories, parties, fantasy workshops, ghost hunts, escape room games and also local culinary delights at the traditional products market. The films will be screened in the Méliès Garden, at Cinema Vertigo and at the Karloff Hall, and the Festival will be concluded, as tradition requires, with the musical “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”, at its 41st anniversary.
One of this edition's attraction points is the horror & fantasy shorts competition, which returns into the “Full Moon” programme, together with the feature-length competition section. The

audience will decide, as it has been the case every year, who will take home the Trophy.
A totally special event in Biertan will be the cine-concert of those from Foley’Ala, who are to accompany live the mute film
Genuine: A Tale of a Vampire (1920), directed by Robert Wiene. The sound track composed by Foley’Ala is a mix of contemporary sonorities, unusual beats, references to archetypal themes, synthesizers, acoustic instruments and voice, with electronic modulations and live processing. Besides the impro, the film atmosphere is to be enhanced by sound effects in real time (
live foley). The
sound design & live foley creators are Alin Zăbrăuţeanu and Marian “Rufi” Cîtu (composition, foley, live processing), Alexandra Andrieş (voice, percussion,
live processing), Flora Pop (violin), Radu Rădescu (concept, percussion).
