There are only a couple of days left until the start of the
8th Edition of Timishort. For 4 days, Timișoara-based viewers will have the opportunity to see the latest and most acclaimed shorts divided into 7 sections, 4 of them being competition ones, one of them international, one national, one competition dedicated to experimental film (Videorama), and the shorts competition dedicated to children movies (Timikids). The Great Prize of the Festival is sponsored by the Romanian Cultural Institute and amounts to EUR 3,500.

The international competition jury is made up of Carlos Ramos (director of IndieLisboa Film Festival and curator for the short and musical documentary sections), Hungarian director
Balazs Juszt (The Man Who Was Thursday) and director
Grazia Tricario.
The National Competition and Videorama will have as jurors an artistic director, a director and a Timișoara-based actress: Szymon Stemplewski (artistic director of „ShortWaves” Festival in Poznań), Octav Chelaru (winner of Best Romanian Short Award at Timishort 2015) and Olga Török, theatre and film actress.
