From May 23 to 27, 2018, the Polish capital hosted the 14th edition of the Jewish Motifs International Film Festival. The Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw was one of the partners of the festival and supported the presence of the Romanian filmmakers and productions at the event.

For this year`s edition, two Romanian films competed for the Golden Phoenix Trophy:
Scarred Hearts / Inimi cicatrizate, directed by
Radu Jude and
Nussbaum 95736, directed by László Csibi, who attended the screenings in the festival.
„Scarred Hearts” won the Grand Prix of the festival (15000 Polish zloty, approximately 16,000 lei). The award financed by the Mayor of Warsaw, Mrs. Hanna Gronkiewicz Waltz, was given during the closing gala of the festival. on Sunday evening, at Polin – the History Museum of the Polish Jews.
